Ghostery has totally lost their user trust when the users found out that they were actually selling user data to other advertisment companies. I guess they are regaining their reputation after Cliqz, the German browser company bought the ad blocker. Cliqz in combination with Ghostery works pretty good and blocks most of the ads.
