OP is probably talking about ads that you get in free apps especially games. Yes, the ads are bad and yes, it’s because the games you play are targeted at children.

If you download anything from free top charts, you are likely to get bombarded with ads every 60 seconds, and its likely to be a knock-off of a clone. The current trend being weird puzzle runners where you collect a certain item and have to dodge obstacles to make sure you have as much of the item as possible.

app stores will say they're trying to crack down on misleading advertisements, or parts of the ad being disguised as the close button, or the close button being obscured, or tons of other bullshit but in reality, they benefit from people unknowingly clicking on ads, or downloading something, only for it to be different 3 level 1
