How much does it cost to design a 1/2 page magazine ad? Depends what you supply and what mag it is for. Could be anything from dozens of dollars to tens of thousands of dollars or if you need things like photos of celebrities and to pay their endorsements then you would be into millions.

The price you'll pay will depend on factors like the ad's size and color, the magazine's popularity and the ad's placement in the magazine. TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read) WebFX gives an average national magazine advertising cost of $250,000 to run a single full-page ad plus between $500 and $397,800 in setup costs to design the ad.

If you need $48,000 to cover the costs, including overhead, of one issue of your magazine, you'll need to set your ad rates to generate $2,000 per advertising page. If your circulation is 50,000, your CPM for a full-page would be $40. You'll need to sell full-age ads for $2,000, half-page ads for $1,000, quarter-page ads for $500 and so on.

Include a call-to-action. Ask yourself what you want your readers to do because of your ad. Include a call-to-action at the end of your copy that encourages them to take action and gives them the resources to do so. For example, if you want them to go to a specific landing page, provide a link and use smart copy and design to entice them to click.
