Each Facebook Ad Account gets 1 Pixel initially and the pixel is tied to that Facebook Ad Account. The Facebook Pixel is just a bit of code that you install on your website. You can install the Facebook Pixel on multiple websites and then you can separate your retargeting of the different websites using Custom Audiences .

But you always use the same code that is associated with your ads account. You can create additional Facebook Pixels (up to 100) through the Business Manager, but often you only need the 1 pixel for your websites. The only reason you might want different pixels for different websites is if you have very different audiences that visit those sites.

You can create up to 100 pixels in your Business Manager account. If you reach the limit of 100 pixels, but you need to create another pixel, you can create a new ad account, which will let you create 1 new pixel. You can then assign permission to the new ad account and new pixel to your Business Manager. You can also create a second Business Manager, which will let you create an additional 100 pixels.
