Occasionally I receive an inquiry to create Facebook ad campaigns to target people by name, email address or physical address. This is not allowed by Facebook, and if you find a way around it, your account will be shut down. What you can do is link to or upload your mailing list to your Facebook ad account.

Add your customer list: You can create your Custom Audience in Ads Manager. Once in your account, go directly to Audiences , then go to Create Audience > Custom Audience > Customer list Prepare your customer list : Select the identifiers to include, then add the customer list you want to use for your new Custom Audience and give it a name.

Nicknames can be used as a first or middle name if they're a variation of your authentic name (like Bob instead of Robert). You can also list another name on your account (example: maiden name, nickname, professional name). Profiles are for individual use only. You can create a Page for a business, organization or idea.

Ad Name – Enter a name for your ad, so that you can easily recognize it in the future. Identity – From the dropdown list, select your Facebook Business page that you have created. Instagram Account – If you have a separate Instagram account, you can choose it here. By default, your Facebook page will be used unless specified differently.

At the top of this screen, you will name your ad set and choose which Page to promote. Next, you decide how much money you want to spend on your Facebook ad campaign. You can choose a daily or lifetime budget. Then, set the start and end dates if you want to schedule your ad in the future, or choose to make it live right away.

After you create a catalog, you can: Add and manage information about your items, such as titles, images, descriptions, prices, variants and more. Upload items one by one or in bulk. Create sets(for ads) or collections(for shops), which are sub-groups of items within your catalog that you want to feature to customers.

We know that the definition of an adult product is quite murky, so let us elaborate. Facebook ads cannot promote the use of adult products, include any nudity, or contain any depictions of people in explicit situations. However, you can promote adult products if they’re focussed on family planning or contraception.

However, Facebook has over two billion active monthly users. That is a hell of a lot of people to police.
